💥That Big Assembly Energy💥
June has been about kicking off our shoes and letting our guard down with each other. It's been about giving ourselves permission to get a little messy. It's been about popsicles. Leaving space for spontaneity. Chilling out on all the planning and just making pizza. It's big Assembly energy.
I had a wake up call moment this week. At the start of a team breathwork class (side note: if you haven't tried breathwork yet, you must — it's wild) the instructor asked us to turn to the person sitting next to us and tell them what was energizing us. This should be the easiest question in the world for me to answer and yet, I couldn't think of anything to say.
The truth is, I have so much that gives me energy. I just have to actually let it. So that was my reminder. Let the energy actually do its work.
I get energy from this community and every single time I see a connection being made, whether it's at book club, while Yoli is doing brows, or the collective beautiful pain of Allison's famous CoreBurn wall sits.
I get energy from thinking about what The Assembly is and what it has potential to become. Together we shifting the narrative of wellness spaces and engaging our collective curiosity.
I get energy knowing that I'm just starting my own path of really understanding myself. So much of self-exploration is the excitement of learning how much is inside ourselves and that it was always there just waiting to be discovered.
I get energy when we don't shy away from hard conversations. I get energy when we think about forgiveness and say out loud the things we want.
Let’s ask ourselves what energizes us, and let’s actually let it.
There is so much collective energy in this community. I hope you feel it even if you are all the way across the country or around the world and have never stepped foot into The Assembly. Thank you for contributing to this energy. I am so very energized by you.
xoxo,
Molly
P.S. 💛 this video makes my heart burst open

...to let yourself be energized by those around you, by the things that excite you, and by getting to know yourself better every day.
Summer 2019 is the season of the leopard print midi skirt. After scrolling through many pictures and careful consideration of whether I would join the party, I succumbed to the "patient zero" version from Réalisation Par. A little bit 90s, a little bit rock and roll, a little bit feminine.
Speaking of rock and roll — add in some sex and drugs — I recently crushed the podcast The Ballad of Billy Balls, which starts as a mix of social history and true crime and ends up as a deeply personal story of family history and identity. Plus, hearing the accounts of New York City in the late 70s early 80s is infinitely fascinating.
"I am going to be fifty f-ing years old and I can wear a princess dress." Speaking of personal style, this video of What Not To Wear's Stacy London talking about her style renaissance is so inspiring.
My latest favorite exploration buddy is the AllTrails app (I sprung for the pro version), which has led me to a few new-to-me incredible hikes/trail runs in the past few weeks. Instead of returning to routes I know, this app has shown me hidden treasures in my area. A new walk is always a new perspective.

Taking a cue from our content (and tie dye) queen Grace, this mini Patagonia fanny pack shows you are ready for adventure and hands free convenience at every moment. Use it to transfer the essentials from bag to bag or be like the ~ cool kids ~ and v. casually sling it across your shoulder.
If you're following The Assembly's insta stories recently, you'll know our whole crew is living that stasher bag life. (And if you're following mine, you'll know that this newsletter is a real journey for me every week. Thanks for making it this far.)
Too real. 😫🙃 Those lines are so clean you could eat off them — which is good because this is an ad for a meal kit delivery service. No wait, sorry, it’s for pillows made of foam.
